As an Ayurveda Health Counselor, my job is to teach you the tools you need for health. Personal counseling sessions use ancient wisdom coupled with modern clinical practices to optimize your health and vitality. Following a detailed assessment of your biocharacteristics, diet, and lifestyle, together we will co-create and implement a plan to outline and achieve your wellness goals in a unique and accessible way that is authentic to you.

I’m Rachael Harper. I am an Ayurveda Health Counselor and Biocharacteristics Clinician in Mount Holly, NC. While I can work with most any client one-on-one to optimize daily lifestyle routines and digestion for a variety of needs and ailments, my expertise lies in supporting Anxiety, Stress, Mental Health and related Digestive Disorders. I also concentrate on sleep disorders, nervous system dysregulation, and a general need for self care.

I am no stranger to anxiety. It can be debilitating and prevent us from doing all kinds of things that we want or need to do, even the most ‘simple’ tasks are not always so simple with anxiety.

So how are you supposed to get started with health counseling when there are so many unknowns and potential triggers for anxiety?

Options to begin:

- a Free 15 min consult (phone call) with me to see if these sessions are a good fit for you
- a group presentation (in person / virtual / pre-recorded) as a general overview of what it might look like to work together
- jump right in with a full Intake Session and begin the work!

- Opening up —> I will offer guidance, but ultimately, you control the direction of the sessions, what you want to share, and you choose which recommendations to implement for your wellness plan. Our conversations are 100% confidential.
- Trying new things —> Again, you are ultimately in control, I am here to offer suggestions and guidance. (Also, ‘No’ is a complete sentence.) This is a co-creative effort, I will not tell you what to do. I will educate you and hold space for you to make your own choices. I will not try to convince you to do things that make you uncomfortable.
- Fear of Failure —> Failure is not a thing in this scenario. You will succeed in improving your health in some way. Simply showing up for yourself is already success. We will employ baby steps as needed based on what you deem accessible during our conversation. I will encourage you, and you will never be forced to take on more than your comfort level. Together we will find a strategy that fits you and your lifestyle, rather than trying to fit you into a mold.
- Financial —> Payment Plan and Sliding Scale options are available for those who need it. - Commitment —> You are under No Obligation to make changes or follow my recommendations, however, I am happy to be your accountability partner if you choose it. If you struggle to commit to healthy habits, you get to choose to begin again, try something different, or let it go. I will support you in whatever decision you make.

Intake session + Report of Findings $175

Intake session: between 60-90min, in person or virtual (Zoom). Physical assessment + gather health history and information about current symptoms, diet, routine, habits.
Report of findings: Within a week of your initial appointment, you will receive a detailed report about your assessment and recommendations from a personalized plan including suggestions and further education around diet strategies, routine, exercise, etc. A brief call may be scheduled as needed.

Single follow-up sessions $100 each OR 3 for $275

Follow-up: 45-60min, in person or virtual. These sessions are for checking progress, coaching and support around recommendations. You will talk through what is working for you and what you need more support with. Additional recommendations will be given as you are ready.

refund/cancellation/no show policy: 

Payment (or payment plan scheduling with deposit) is due at time of booking. All sales are final. 24 hour cancellation policy on all appointment bookings. Any client who wishes to cancel an appointment with less than 24 hours notice will be charged the full cost of the session. Any client who does not show up for their appointment will be charged the full cost of the session. All packages expire 6 months from the date of purchase. No refunds will be given due to expiration.

I first fell in love with Ayurveda in 2009 and was drawn more deeply into the teachings when I began experiencing chronic headaches and minor digestive issues in late 2011. With John Immel of Joyful Belly Ayurveda as my first teacher and mentor, I learned how to heal my own body and design my habits to live a life of better health and greater ease. Further studies over the years with a variety of teachers including Joyful Belly’s Clinical Ayurveda Health Counselor certification has helped me to create a well-rounded clinical practice and curriculum to share with clients, students, teachers, and loved ones.
